Cash Send Using ABSA Online Banking

You’ll need a smartphone and enough data to send money via ABSA online banking — Express Banking.

Follow the steps below to transfer money using this method:

  • Log in to your ABSA online banking account.
  • Select Cash Send from the navigation menu at the top of the page.
  • Select the CashSend recipient you want to send money to.
  • Choose between a one-time CashSend or a new CashSend recipient.
  • Choose the account you’d want to debit.
  • Fill in the amount you’d like to send.
  • Enter the cell phone number of the receiver.
  • Create a 6-digit code that your receiver will use to access the funds.
  • Make a payment confirmation.

ABSA Cash Send Using Cellphone Banking

One of the easiest ways to use the Cash Send service is through ABSA cellular banking.

  • To access mobile phone banking, dial 120*2272#.
  • Select Cash Send from the menu.
  • Choose Cash Send Payment as your payment method.
  • Please log out.
  • Wait for an SMS with a secure URL to arrive.
  • When you click the link, you’ll be sent to a screen where you’ll need to input the amount you want to send and the recipient’s cell phone number.
  • Create a 6-digit code for the receiver to use for him or her to access the funds.
  • Make a payment confirmation.

There are certain drawbacks to utilizing cellular banking to send money, you may only transfer a maximum of R500 each day and a minimum of R20.

Withdraw ABSA Cash Send

Withdrawing funds from an ABSA account

Sending money is a simple procedure.

The recipient does not need to have an account to use Cash Send.

Follow the procedures below to withdraw money provided to you using Cash Send:

  • Use the Cash Send option at any accessible ABSA ATM.
  • Cash Send is the option to choose.
  • Choose Cash Withdrawal as your method of payment.
  • Enter the ten-digit code provided to your telephone through SMS.

ABSA Cash Send Reversal

  • Select Beneficiaries from the menu.
  • Under the beneficiaries’ section, choose the CashvSend tab.
  • To find the recipient whose Cash Send you want to cancel, use the search box or navigate through the list of beneficiaries.
  • To get details on any transactions you’ve done with the recipient, tap the history symbol next to their name.
  • Tap the More button next to the Cash Send you want to cancel after you’ve identified it.

Remove CashSend from the list of options.
